Why You Should Be Blogging for Profit in the 21st Century
Is blogging for profit something you have ever considered? If not, why not?
Blogging has been around for decades. The earliest official date for the blog, short for weblog, is 1993. It began as a way to chronicle daily activities and the like, much like a diary.
In other words, its first purpose was for someone to document what was happening to them. It was a cool way to record what was going on, to save and share though and photos. Today, videos are often shared on blogs, too. There is even a newer format almost exclusively in video format, often referred to as a “vlog.”
Blogging is a great way for you to have a creative outlet. It doesn’t matter where you are. You don’t even have to own a computer or even a smartphone. Almost any public library will provide you with a computer that you can update your blog on.
You can be as creative as you want with your blog, because it’s yours! Quite honestly, the sky is the limit. There is very little that limits the range and scope at your disposal for a blog.
There are some things some hosts will not allow on their servers, but there are many hosting companies to choose from, and some are far more open-minded than others. Just be aware that you ARE responsible for what you put on your own blog, so think twice before posting anything too controversial!
Apart from the rules you should be following, both from your blog host and the laws of the land, you can be as creative as you like, sharing your own unique perspective, thoughts, opinions, and creative ideas. When you open it up to comments and subscriptions, your blog can become an amazing meeting place, discussion platform, as well as a place to showcase your creativity.
Even better, if you make sure to share every post on social media, it opens up even further, and can almost take on a life of its own.
Practice makes perfect
The more you write for your blog, the better your writing and content will become. It is a skill, just like playing the guitar or swimming in marathons. The more you work at it, the better you become.
Blogging for profit
Blogging is a great outlet and can introduce you to a lot of new and vey interesting people.
But blogging for profit is even better! And it is as simple as letting businesses by advertising on your blog. Many businesses will pay good money to advertise their goods or services on a popular blog related to their niche. There is really good money to be made in blogging. Indeed.com published an article in 2021 stating that bloggers make $39,186 per year on average. Of course, income level is based on a lot of things, including the size of their audience, as well as the niche they are operating in.
Think about it
If you have a regular blog right now, why not start blogging for profit? Again, all it requires is for you to start offering advertising space on your blog.
It’s super easy to start selling ad space. You can join affiliate programs and place their links directly in your blog.
You can also join companies that offer regularly updated plugins to automatically place ads on your site, automatically collecting income for you every time an ad is placed. A really good place to start for its incredible simplicity is a company such as Magenet. They offer WordPress and other plugins that automate the whole process for you, so that all you need to do is keep writing articles for your blog.
Use American English
I still can stress enough how important it is for you to use good quality American English. Whatever you do, never use AI such as Google Translate or any others for translating your blog.
If you are not proficient in American English, hire someone who is. It is no longer difficult, nor is it expensive, to get a really good quality translation from a professional. Freelancers on platforms such as Fiverr do excellent work at a very reasonable rate.
